The gift shop at Belfast Cathedral has taken on a whole new lease of life since the launch of the new visitor experience at St Anne's last May.
The shop, located behind the new welcome desk, has a wide range of gifts for visitors from home and abroad.
Most of the items are made in Ireland, some in fact sourced from within the greater Belfast area, and they range from soaps to spoon rests, from cards to candles and from pottery to postcards.
Everything is beautifully presented and the spacious gift shop makes browsing a pleasure.
The shop stocks a wide range of hand crafted pottery by Trevor Woods from Mount Ida in Co Down. Items range from the ever popular sheep to a stunning nativity scene.
There are bespoke fridge magnets featuring images of St Anne's, postcards showing scenes from inside and outside the Cathedral, and special St Anne's Cathedral mugs, tea towels and candles.
Among the most popular items are the Royal Tara Celtic High Cross mugs and other china, and hand crafted wooden ornaments by Mike Yarr of Cherry Valley, who also makes the lovely honey on sale in the shop.
There are some scented soaps in glorious colours, much to pretty to get wet, and bags of delicious St Anne's Cathedral fudge.
The little glass guardian angels have proved a best seller, along with other gifts of decorative glassware.
Gifts from further afield include wooden crafts from Palestine and Fairtrade paper mache trinket boxes from Kashmir.
There are some beautiful handcrafted blank cards on sale for just £2-£2.25, and these are often purchased with a prayer card, of which the gift shop has a large selection suitable for any occasion or situation.
So whether you are local and looking for a special gift, or an overseas visitor wanting a beautiful souvenir of Belfast Cathedral or of Ireland, you will be sure to find something in our gift shop.
The shop is open during normal visiting hours, and closed for services.
The St Anne's Cathedral Gift Shop will shortly be stocking a small selection of books including Bibles, Christening Bibles, Hymn Books and Prayer Books.
